ABOUT THE BOOK

Quest for the Chest – A Pop-Up Storybook 📖✨

This was one of my favorite projects during my illustration course. I wanted to go beyond a regular storybook and create something kids could touch, play with, and explore. That’s how Quest for the Chest was born a treasure-hunt themed pop-up book following Aarav, a boy who finds a map and goes on a magical adventure.

The process was as exciting as the story itself:

  • Sketching & Ideation – shaping Aarav’s journey with maps, caves, portals, and puzzles.

  • Paper Prototyping – lots of folding, cutting, and testing (and some fails too 😅).

  • Illustration & Design – mixing hand-drawn elements with digital work.

  • Assembly – bringing all the pieces together into a working book.

Every page had an interactive twist—hidden clues, secret messages, even a wearable pop-up bracelet. The aim was simple: make the reader feel like part of the adventure.

Big thanks to Prof. Ankita Roy for guiding me through this one. Definitely one of those projects where I learned a lot and had fun.

Thank you for your Valuable time :)
